It’s often a challenge to find an engineering companies that can accommodate you when it comes to restoration of motorcycles. For me more and more it’s precision engineers needed for older motorcycles, so a good grasp of what the item is used for and what the tolerances might be is really useful.
Many (thankfully) are busy with client projects but with this comes little time to entertain thinking through your needs and subsequently your questions.
Thankfully there are several I’ve used over many years and I’m happy share them here as it’s important for these smaller businesses to get recognition.
JHB Engineering in Rye, East Sussex.
EPAL Engineering in Storrington, West Sussex. Donald (Don) and his team are first class and can handle most engineering tasks regardless of the vehicle or machine type.
Stainless Classics in Feltham, Middlesex. Owned and run my Will Horgan, Will caters for mostly Triumph, BSA and Norton classics and can be found online (see the link) as well as the Kempton and Stafford autojumbles. I’ve used Will form 20+ years now and he can facilitate machining I can’t, he’s presently helping on items for Project 32.
